I have been asked by a few people now to post some older photos of our house building adventure so that the whole process is here and I will, bit by bit. It all started with the little hut about four years ago now. That took us a year to build, working on and off, and we have been living in it for three years, the first without electricity or a bathroom which certainly taught us about getting by with a lot less that you think you need. So archive one is dedicated to the HUT.
Materials used: tyres, cans, cement and lime plaster, old towels and blankets, rebar to shape the dome, chicken wire, MUD and more MUD, a heap of recycled timber and six million screws...well maybe not six million but a lot anyway.
