kitchen cupboards and watching the mud dry

I have been using our SOLAR ENERGY to run my power tools - so cool. Today I started one of our kitchen cupboards. This is the one where the sink goes - looking out ono the garden - and the washing machine gets shoved in the gap to the right, under the countertop. I am discovering that NOTHING in this house is square level or plumb.

And now here is a photo of mud drying. Exciting, isn't it?

  1. Its great to see progress being made but depressing that I cant get the time to be doing my own earthship. We had a week over in Spain in November and another one last week, but still only have 40 tyres pounded so far... I like the solar panels esp, just not happy abot the idea of having to pay for them... Keep it up, it will all be worth it in the end!! Joe and Helen.

  2. Hey Guys!
Glad to see you're still going with your project, no matter how slowly. We were living onsite and it seemed eternal so I can imagine how frustrating it canbe for you living in another country! Animo!
Paying for solar panels sucks completely but at least we have electricity now and paying the electicity company sucks even more so things aren't too bad.
COme down again when you have a longer stay in Spain and we'll catch up.
    love
